My daughter, Amalija, was born with Cerebral Palsy. We live in Zagreb, Croatia, but we stay with our family here on the Croatian seaside every summer. Amalija speaks very little but she understands everything! She loves music and travel – she’s been to the US three times, France, all over Europe. She has a very strong association with music and place – if she hears a song here on the island, then hears it again back home weeks later, she will always remember that she heard it first here on the seaside.
